Do you have free templates?
Very similar to templates, we have Presets that you can use to quickly apply customization settings to your entire website. Presets are simply design and layout settings that have already been adjusted and optimized for a well coordinated presentation.
As indicated in the definition above, Presets are comprehensive and site-wide, affecting your Site Settings, Theme, Layouts, and Page Options.
Here’s a simple way to approach Site Customization: In the Customize Website view, view the orange text selections in the top left of your page (Preset | Layout | Theme | Content | Options). Start at Preset (all the way to the left), and work your way to the right on each page. The Preset can only be selected once for your entire website, but you can further customize each page by choosing different Themes, Layouts, and Options based on the Preset you chose.
Can I use my own custom theme?
Sure! Themes control colors and fonts used on a page (among other specific items), and you can actually create as many different themes as you’d like in our Theme Designer.
Feel free to import and export your custom themes so that you can share them with other users, and use other users’ themes. This can also be used to create a backup of your custom themes.
If you need help with your site design, you can hire a third party service like Warren Creative Design which offers individual site customization services and Full Website Theme Customization.
Is the site Flash or Html?
Your Zenfolio site is mostly built on HTML, HTML5 and Javascript, though some of the slideshows and videos do use Adobe Flash. Please note that on devices that do not support Flash (e.g. iPhones and iPads), an HTML5 version of the slideshow is sent to the site visitor. This allows your slideshow to function across mobile browsing platforms.
Can I directly edit the HTML and CSS code of my site?
The HTML code can be edited ONLY in select areas of your site such as custom pages, blog pages and the custom header and footer. (Please note: Editing source code on a custom page requires knowledge of Web programming and is not covered by Zenfolio support). HTML cannot be edited on the rest of the site and CSS code cannot be edited anywhere on the site.

Do I need to know any coding languages?
No, you do not need any knowledge of coding to set-up or customize your Zenfolio website. You can fully customize your site without creating or editing a single line of code.
We designed our platform to be accessible to those with no prior knowledge of website design, while still providing advanced customization options for more experienced designers.
Customization changes are made through Customize Website View. This View has been set up in a "Sandbox" format , allowing you to try different combinations of Presets, Themes, Layouts and Options without affecting your actual site until you're satisfied with your results. Once you’re ready, you can push your changes live.
Can I upload my own custom Fonts?
You can use any of the web-friendly fonts and Google fonts available in our built-in Theme Designer, but we do not currently support the uploading of your own fonts.

If you have the Pro or Advanced plan, feel free to take advantage of chat support with our support team - available Monday through Friday (6am to 5pm Pacific Time).

Does your branding show on my site?
With a Pro and Advanced account, you can remove all Zenfolio branding from your website, and upload your own logos in its place. Click HERE for more info on how to remove Zenfolio branding.
Please note that the Zenfolio name may still appear in the User Agreement/Privacy Policy and in the URLs of secure pages on your website.
Can I upload my own logo?
Yes, with a Pro or Advanced account you can remove the Zenfolio branding and upload your own logo in various places on your website. Please see this link for more information on how to upload your logo.
Does my site come with a blog?
All of our plans come with a Blog that is essentially built in with your website (if you want to use it). Blog content is fully customizable, allowing embeddable media content and even custom coding. You can import blog posts from other services (Wordpress, blogger, etc…) into your Zenfolio blog via RSS feed.
You can also allow site visitors to leave comments in your blog posts, if you’d like. See this link for details.
Can I use my existing blog?
Yes, you can use your existing blog instead of the built in Zenfolio blog, if you’d like. You'll just need to create a link to your blog and add it to your Site Menu.
I created a custom page that I want to use as my homepage, how do I do that?
With a Pro or Advanced account, you can assign a custom page as your homepage by setting it page as your External Homepage. Simply navigate to your name in the top right corner of your Account, and then select Account. From there, select Website and then Homepage.
