When you upload photos Zenfolio extracts and makes available to you metadata information containing the shooting conditions and equipment used when taking the photograph.
This metadata information can comes from both EXIF and IPTC data.

There are various places on your site where this data can be displayed, such as your photo pages and the gallery slideshows.
What does your Account look like?
Original Photos Page: Removing EXIF and IPTC Metadata from Display Pages
You can make sure this metadata will not show up anywhere for your visitors Or you can hide it from these areas of your Zenfolio site:
If you do not want to have any EXIF data available to your visitors, you can disable the displaying of metadata by changing this in the Access Control settings for any gallery or at the All Photographs level. If you follow these steps to turn off your displaying of your metadata, this will remove this information from your photo pages as well as your slideshows.
- In your account, go to Photos.
- Click on the item that you would like to hide EXIF information for, information related to that item will load in the Details Column.
- In the Details Column, go to Gallery Access, Group Access or Photo Access (this varies based on the item selected).
- Uncheck the box that reads Same as Containing...
- Go to the Search and Metadata tab.
- Uncheck the box for Allow displaying metadata information such as dates and EXIF.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Note: This action can be applied to multiple items at once. You can select multiple galleries at once by holding the Control Key on your keyboard (Command key on a Mac) while clicking on multiple galleries in the group.

Also, if you want to keep your metadata displayed on your slideshows but want to remove it from the photo pages - you can remove the Photo page and/or the photo Info overlay by going to Customize Website View.
- In your acocunt, go to Photos.
- Navigate to the desired Gallery under the Organizer.
- Hover the mouse pointer over Preview then click on Customize.
The page will refresh with Customize Website View displayed at the top, confirming that you are in the customization mode.
Removing EXIF from the Photo page display:
- Click on Gallery Thumbnails in the top left corner. Click on Gallery Photos in the menu that appears.
- Go to Options.
- Uncheck the box for Use Default Settings For Layout, Theme, and Options if necessary.
- Go to the Page Elements tab, if necessary.
- Mark the circle for Hide button next to Short EXIF on the page.
- Click Apply to close the Page Options Window.
- Click Publish before exiting Customize Website View to make those changes live on your site.
Removing EXIF from the Photo Info Overlay:
- Make sure that Gallery Photos is displayed in the top left corner. If not, click on Gallery Thumbnails. Click on Gallery Photos in the menu that appears.
- Go to Options.
- Uncheck the box for Use Default Settings For Layout, Theme, and Options if necessary.
- Go to the Photo Overlays tab.
- Mark the circle for Hide button next to Full EXIF over the image.
- Click Apply to close the Page Options Window.
- Publish your changes before exiting Customize Website View to make those changes live on your site.
Optionally you can click Save as Default before Publishing to have this setting apply to all photo pages that are set to follow default settings.
In addition, you can make sure your camera EXIF data doesn't show in your gallery slideshow by going to Customize Website View and following these steps:
- Click on Gallery Thumbnails in the top left corner. Click on Gallery Slideshow in the menu that appears.
- Click on Options.
- Uncheck the box for Use Default Settings For Layout, Theme, and Options if necessary.
- Go to the Page Elements tab, if necessary.
- Mark the circle for Hide next to EXIF.
- Click Apply to close the Page Options Window.
- Publish your changes before exiting Customize Website View to make those changes live on your site.
Optionally you can click Save as Default before publishing to have this setting apply to all gallery slideshow pages set to follow default settings.

Also, if you want to keep your metadata displayed on your slideshows but want to remove it from the photo pages - you can remove the Photo page and/or the photo Info overlay by going to Customize Website View.

- Then choose Page from the dropdown menu that appears
