Moving a Photograph from One Gallery to Another

A photo can be moved from one Gallery to another Gallery at any time without breaking any links.

Moving the photo from one gallery to another will not leave a copy in the originating gallery.  If you would like to leave a copy, use the Copy function to copy the photograph to another gallery instead.

If at any time you decide to organize your galleries and groups differently, you can make changes without breaking any external links.

Original Photos Page: Moving a Photograph from One Gallery to Another

1. Using the Photo Action Menu in the Main Area

1. In your account, go to Photos.
2. Navigate to the gallery that contains the photo(s).
3. In the Main Area, click to select the thumbnail of the photograph you would like to move.
4. Select Photo Actions from the Section Menu in the Main Area. A drop-down menu will appear.
5. Choose Move from the list of options. A popup window will open with a tree list of all your galleries and groups.
6. Navigate the tree and select the desired destination.
7. Click Move to confirm.​

​​Note: The above steps can be applied to multiple selected items as one operation.  Hold the Control key (Command key on a Mac) on your keyboard while clicking on thumbnails to highlight multiple thumbnails.
 

2. Using the Drop-Down Photo Menu

1. In your account, go to Photos.
2. Navigate to the gallery that contains the photo.
3. In the Main Area, click to select the photograph you would like to move.
4. Move your mouse over the highlighted thumbnail, click on the icon with the blue down-pointing arrow. The Drop-Down Photo Menu will appear.
5. Choose Move. A popup window will open with a tree list of all your galleries, groups and collections.
6. Navigate the tree and select the desired destination.
7. Click Move to confirm.

Note: The above steps can be applied to one photo at a time only.


 

New Photos Page: Moving a Photograph from One Gallery to Another

1. Make sure that you're in the Photos page.
2. Click on the gallery that contains the photo(s) that you want to move.
3. Hold down the Control key on your keyboard (Command key on a Mac) and then click on each image that you want to move.
4. Click on Actions, a menu will appear. Click on Move in that menu. A new window will appear.

1. Select the gallery that you would like to move the photo(s) to.
2. Click Move to start moving the photo to the selected gallery.
