Groups are used to organize your Galleries and photos. Similar to folders in your computer or a filing cabinet, Groups are used to hold galleries and organize them into groups or categories.

Like Galleries, each Group will have its own webpage on your site. And also like Galleries, the Group's online presentation can be customized as needed.
You can apply different Themes, Layouts and Options for the group page.
Layouts control the placement of different elements on the page.
Themes control the colors and fonts used on the page. You can apply any pre-made theme or create your own custom theme.
Options allow you to show or hide various elements on the page. This is used to further fine tune the page based on the Layout applied to the page.

Selecting the Layout
Layouts define the elements and their placement on your Group pages. You can customize each type of Group page separately by changing the individual layout.
- In your account, go to Photos.
- In the Organizer, select the group you would like to edit.
- Hover the mouse pointer over Preview then click Customize.
If you are logged into your account and already in the Website View, move your mouse over the Edit button at the top of the visitor page. Select Page from the dropdown menu that appears
For Zenfolio users that signed up after May 10 2018, please see the updated instructions below.
- In your account, go to Photos.
- Navigate to the desired Gallery under the Organizer.
- Click on Preview.
- In the Customize view, click on Edit
- Then choose Page from the dropdown menu that appears
The page will refresh with customization tools displayed at the top, confirming that you are in the customization mode.
- Make sure that Group is displayed in the top left corner. If not, then a group is not currently selected for editing.
- Click Layout in the top menu. A popup window will open.
- If Use Default Settings option is checked, uncheck it to allow customizing.
- Click to select the layout you would like to use for the group.
- Click Apply to confirm and apply the selection. The page will refresh with the new layout applied. Review the group with the new layout applied. Repeat steps 1 to 4 until you are happy with the selection.
- Click Publish to apply the changes to your live site and exit this mode.

Selecting a Theme
The Theme of your Groups will define the visual appearance of the group's web page. The theme controls the page's colors, background image, opacity of elements on the page, fonts, font sizes and font colors. If so desired, you can apply different themes to each of your groups. You can also apply different themes to all of the galleries and other groups contained by the group.
A number of themes are provided to choose from and Zenfolio is continually adding new themes. You can also create your own custom theme and apply it to the page.

- If desired, switch between the Large Preview or Thumbnails view by using the view icons. We will use Thumbnails view for this example.
- Click to select the theme you would like to use for the page.
- Click Apply to confirm and apply the selection. The page will refresh with the new theme applied. Review the group with the new theme applied. Repeat steps 1 to 4 until you are happy with the selection.
- Click Publish to apply the changes to your live site and exit this mode.

Accessing Group Page Options
Through the Options panel, you can configure the different options available. These options will vary based on the layout selected. Try different layouts to see which options are available under each layout.

- Select the tab that contains the option that you would like to configure
- Configure the selected element by setting it to Show, Hide or by entering in a value into the field provided
- Click Apply to confirm and apply the selection. The page will refresh with the new options applied. Review the page with the new options applied. Repeat steps 2 to 6 until you are happy with your changes.
- Click Publish to apply the changes to your live site and exit this mode.
