When you upload photos, Zenfolio extracts and makes available to you metadata information containing the shooting conditions and equipment used when taking the photograph as well as data you may have added to your photos such as titles, keywords and captions. This metadata information comes from EXIF and IPTC data.

Editing and updating the metadata CSV File
You can edit the downloaded metadata CSV file in a spreadsheet program such as Excel. This will allow you to add and remove data from the cells and to re-upload the file to update the metadata in bulk.
A common use would be to add keywords separated by commas to the cells in the keywords column then saving the CSV file before re-uploading it to your Gallery or Group.
For example, the first few rows of the metadata CSV file for your bulk update might look like this:
File Name | Title | Caption | Copyright | Alt attribute | Keywords | Zenfolio Photo ID [DO NOT EDIT] |
class_of_2013-68.jpg | Chess | Buteo Photo | 1002,Chess | 756351529
class_of_2013-69.jpg | Christen | Buteo Photo | 1003,Christen | 886351529
class_of_2013-68.jpg | Craig | Buteo Photo | 1004,Craig | 475635158 |
(Note: Do Not edit the contents of the Zenfolio Photo ID column - The system requires the information in these cells to identify the photos and to match your metadata appropriately!)
