Set Defined Shipping Cost and Order Minimum

Note: This feature is exclusive to Advanced account subscribers.

 

By default Price Lists allow customers to select from standard shipping methods and do not require an order minimum to make a purchase. However the option to create a set price for shipping regardless of actual costs is also available.

If you choose to offer custom shipping options, you are responsible for selecting the shipping method before order approval. Be sure to set the Price Lists to require approval.  We recommend using a Shipping Method Description that identifies the shipping method being offered, Ground Shipping, Overnight Shipping, etc.

Also we recommend checking the lab's actual shipping method options available.  Creating a custom shipping that is not offered by the lab will cause confusion for your clients.

If there is a negative amount between the difference between the price paid by customers and the actual shipping cost, then the difference will be charged to your Zenfolio account.

Setting a defined shipping cost

1. In your account, go to Selling.
2. Go to Price Lists.
3. Click the name of the price list you would like to edit. A new screen will load with setting options.

1. Select the Currency that contains the products for which you would like to create the custom shipping options.
2. Click on Price List Settings. The Price List will be saved and a new page will open.
3. Under the pertinent vendor partner, mark the circle for Offer one custom shipping method.
4. Enter the Shipping method description and the amount you would like to charge for the shipping method in the fields provided.
5. If you would like to offer alternative shipping methods, fill out the fields provided for the alternative shipping methods.  Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 for each vendor until you are finished.
6. Click Save.

You may also want to set an Order Minimum so orders will not be completed unless the minimum is met. The Order Minimum is not indicated by default and your customer will not be aware of an order minimum until checkout.

Setting the Order Minimum

1. In your account, go to Selling.
2. Go to Price Lists.
3. Click the name of the price list you would like to edit. A new screen will load with setting options.

1. Select the Currency that contains the products for which you would like to set the Order Minimum.
2. Click on Price List Settings. The Price List will be saved and a new page will open.
3. Mark the circle for Set order minimum.
4. Type a dollar amount in the Order Minimum field.
5. Click Save.
