Exclusive to Advanced plan subscribers.
Products can be changed and reconfigured in Pending Orders for Advanced subscribers. Not only can you add new products that were not previously made available to the client, prices and quantities can be adjusted, color conversions, finishes and coating can be applied, and even frames can be added after the order was made.
Please note that any additional costs incurred as a result of making a change to the order will be debited from the profits made from the order- not charged to the customer. It is not possible to charge the customer any additional amount through the Pending Order Approval process.
Any changes that result in a discount for the client will result in a partial refund for the client.
And any changes that lower the base lab cost of the products in the order (such as switching to a smaller print) will result in the difference being given to the photographer as additional profit.
To edit a pending order, you'll need to go to your list of Pending Orders then open the desired order for editing.
- In your account, click Selling from the main menu.
- Click on Review and Approve. A page will load with a list of your pending orders.
- Click the desired order's order number to view the order details and open the order for editing.
Advanced Plan Pending Order Product Editing Options
- Add Products
Products may be added to a Pending Order from the same vendor. Once a product is added, you will need to configure both the Item Price to reflect the cost to the client, and Change Photo for the product so the proper photo is added to the new item. For example, if you would like to add a keychain with the client's face to a pending order, select Add Products and add the product you wish to use. Once added, change the Item Price to $0.00 and use Change Photo to add the photograph to the keychain. - More Products With This Photo
You may add a product based on a photo that was already listed in a pending order by clicking More products with this photo. Once the product is added, it will appear on the list with the photo already referenced. You may need to change the Item Price. Use this feature to change your print size rather than crop a photograph. - Adjust Pricing
You may adjust the price of any product by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the price and making the desired adjustment.
You can also adjust the amount charged for various product options like frames. - Change Quantities
By using the plus or minus next to a product quantity, the number of products using a specific photo may be changed in an order. - Remove Products
Products may be deleted by selecting Remove located below the Item Total. - Adjust Product
Beyond changing the photo or adjusting the cropping, all other options in relation to the product may be adjusted. Frames may be inserted, Color Conversions may be set, and finishing and coating may be added. To adjust the product, click on the preview image in the pending order.
Replacing a Product in a Pending Order
The Advanced Pending Order Approval editing options can be used to replace the products in an order.
For example, if a photograph in the order has an aspect ratio of 5:7, and client placed an order to print it on a 4X6 print- it would be better to change the print size to 5x7 rather than to crop the image.
- To do this, first use the More Products with this photo option to choose a new product onto which the photo will be printed. Select the desired print size and add it to the order.
- Then set the price of the newly added product using the Adjust Pricing option. If you would like to charge them the same price for both products, set the price of the newly added product to the same price as the original product.
Make sure to make this change to the newly added product and not to the original product chosen by the client.
- Then click Remove next to the original product to remove it from the order.
