Uploading a Soundtrack - Protection and Recommended File Formats
If you’re uploading your own music, you can use music files in MP3 format without protection or DRM/digital rights management. For example, an iTunes purchase has digital rights management applied, and cannot be used.
We recommend uploading the music files in the MP3 format whenever possible. This allows the soundtrack to be played using HTML5 - compatible with most major modern browsers without the need for any additional plugins. Please note that music files cannot be uploaded as M4A because this file type requires Flash, which is no longer supported or available from Adobe as a product.
The maximum file size per music file is 64 MB.
Please make sure that you have a license to use the music on your website before uploading to Zenfolio.
Have appropriate licensing? Here’s how to Upload:
- Within your account, go to the Photos page.
- Click on the Soundtracks option in the top left area of the Organizer column.
- In the soundtracks area click on Upload New. A pop-up window will load.
- Click Browse or Choose File (this varies by browser). Select the desired audio file from your computer.
- Check the box that reads "I certify that I have the legal rights or the rights by agreement(s) to upload the attached music as a soundtrack and to authorize Zenfolio to make it available to viewers of my images."
- Click Upload.
