Adding to a Collection

Collections hold links to photos stored in your Galleries.

There are two ways of adding a photo or video to a Collection.

You can add your own photos and video to collections in the the Dashboard. You can add your own as well as photos and video from other Zenfolio users to collections in the Website View while looking at photo pages.

Adding your photos and video to collections in the account

1. In your account, go to Photos.
2. Select the gallery containing the photograph or video you would like to add to a Collection in the Organizer. Thumbnails will load in the Main Area and the name of the gallery will display at the top
3. In the Main Area, select the thumbnail of the photograph or video you would like to add to a Collection.
4. Click on the Menu Arrow that appears.
5. Select Add to Collection from menu that appears. 
6. A popup window will open with a tree listing of all your collections. Navigate the tree and select the destination collection. You also have the option to create a new collection.
7. Click Add to apply.

Note: The above steps can be applied to multiple selected items as one operation.  Hold down the Control key on your keyboard (Command key on a Mac) while clicking on the desired image thumbnails.  Then click Photo Actions in the toolbar above the thumbnails and follow step number 5 above.

Adding photos and video from other users to a collection in Website View

1. First, make sure you are logged your Zenfolio account so you may access your collections. This will be indicated with your user name in the top right corner when visiting any Zenfolio website. Then navigate through any Zenfolio user's website until you are looking at the photograph or video you would like to add to your collection
2. Move your mouse over the image so the left menu bar appears. The Menu option will only appear if the Zenfolio user has allowed their images to be added to Collections, and if the menu overlay option has be set to show.
3. Select Add to Collection from the menu. A list of all your collections will open to the right. If you do not see your collections, make sure to login to the Zenfolio site.
4. Select the destination collection or Add to a new collection to create a new one.

A confirmation message will appear at the top of the image letting you know that you have added the photograph or video to a Collection.

When you are finished adding photos or video you can return to your Dashboard to rename and organize the Collection(s) you have created.
