Included with your Zenfolio account is the ability to send emails to your friends and clients stored in a Contacts List. These emails are sent to market and promote your site.
Uses for sending emails to your contacts can include:
- Informing your clients of newly uploaded photos
- Informing your clients of sales and coupons
- Informing your clients of site changes and new blog posts
- General marketing emails for a photography website
Please note that this is not the same as a general use email inbox such as gmail, Yahoo mail or Hotmail. This does not provide an email inbox for receiving emails.
Also this does not provide a custom email address based on your custom domain. For such an email address and service, you will need to contact a domain registrar or host.

While Zenfolio includes the ability to send email communications to your clients, it is important to note that Zenfolio should not be used for sending emails to mass numbers of contacts at one time. When needing to send an email to a large amount of contacts, it is suggested to send the email to 100-200 contacts at a time when using Zenfolio.
However, it is highly recommend to use other services like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc. to send mass numbers of emails at one time as these platforms are designed for this type of functionality.
