Access to Miller's products requires a Miller's account and a Miller's Storefront or Advanced plan subscription.
In this guide, we hope to walk you through the steps for getting your photos transferred from Miller’s Remote Suite to Zenfolio.
This FAQ covers the Schools portion of the Remote Suite tool. Here is an outline of the steps you will take to submit an order to Miller’s and where the transfer of photos to Zenfolio comes in.
- Start Tab: Create an order. For more information about how, see this video.
- Configure Tab: Set up the packages and options you’d like to assign to this order. See video.
- Configure Tab: At this stage you will move to the “Hosting” tab. This is where you will input information that will be used to transfer the images to Zenfolio. Here are the fields and what you’ll want to input into each:
a. Choose “I wish to host my images” → “My hosting company is Zenfolio”
b. URL: This will be your zenfolio site URL. This is how Miller's figures out which site to assign the images to.
c. Name: This will be the name of the Group that is created on Zenfolio. All the images from this order will be placed within that group. This is not your Zenfolio username.
d. Password: This will be the password customers will use to login to this group and access the images on Zenfolio. This is not your Zenfolio password.
e. Choose if you would like for the individual images to be password protected. Miller's will create and apply a randomly generated password that the client will use to view their images.
- Configure Tab: Add text or other service options to the photos.
- Configure Tab: Import your Student Data that will be used on each student’s photos that you will upload in the subsequent step. See video.
- Build Tab: Upload the file that contains the students’ photos. See video.
- Review Tab: Ensure that the order is correct. See video.
- Submit your order. See video.
After the order has been submitted, the images will automatically be transferred over to Zenfolio based on the information you input in the “Configuration” step. Please note that the transfer process could take up to a few hours depending on the size of the image queue.

Capturing Data
Uploads to Zenfolio from Remote Suite Plus will be automatically structured in galleries to reflect the data when entered into Remote Suite Plus. This data is entered during the "Import Data" stage.
When the photos are transferred from Remote Suite Plus to Zenfolio, the Miller's system will sort the photos into folders based on the data provided (grade, teacher, etc.). If grade is provided in the Miller's tool, then a grade sub-folder within Zenfolio will be created and all corresponding images will be sorted into the correct grade. The same process will occur for the teacher.
If no data is present in either of the Grade or Teacher fields, the system will sort the photos into a general group that will be called "All Photographs".
Important Things to Note
I do not see the transferred images
Depending on the number of photos on Miller's transfer queue, there may be a delay in the transferring of images from Miller's to Zenfolio. During peak hours, the transfer may take a few hours to complete. Thank you for your patience.
How can clients find the images?
To allow clients to find the images, the search field must be displayed somewhere in the site. This can be done by using any of the below suggestions:
- Add a link to the Site Menu that links to the built in Search page.
- Display the Site Header and display the Search field in the Header.
- Display the Site Footer and display the Search field in the Footer.
I don't want my clients to search the entire site for the image. How can I allow them to search for images in just their school, class or event?
Images transferred using the Remote Suite are transferred to a new Gallery inside of a Group. If you prefer to allow clients to limit their searches to just that particular group or gallery, you will need to convert the group that contains the galleries into an Event. For how to convert a group into an Event and for more information on Events, click HERE.
