It’s good to note that your Zenfolio subscription will renew automatically on your renewal date, otherwise known in your account as “the expiration date”, and generally understood as the day that you signed up for your paid subscription.
We do apply any available credit within your account towards subscription renewal, first; then, if you have a balance after the credit is applied, the remainder of the renewal cost will be charged to the credit card on file in your Payment Information. To that end, only credit in the account's native currency can be applied towards renewals.
To ensure that there’s no interruption in service, it’s best practice to make sure that your Payment Information is up to date.
If your account has already expired and you would like to renew, you have 14 days to do so. Click here for instructions on how to renew your suspended or expired account manually.
Check Your Expiration/Renewal Date
You can find your renewal/expiration date in the Account Information page within your account:
1. In your account, hover your mouse pointer over your username in the top right corner.
2. Click on Account.
3. The Account Information page will open.
4. Your Expiration date and Renewal date will appear here.
Note: The account will be automatically renewed on the day of expiration.
If your account currently has enough of an account balance to pay for your renewal, the system will process renewal automatically with the necessary amount charged to your account balance.
Manually Renewing the Subscription
When an account expires, the card on file will automatically be charged for renewal to ensure your account remains open without any interruption. If the account is unable to renew automatically, you can renew the account manually after it has expired.
1. In your account, hover your mouse pointer over your username in the top right corner.
2. Click on Account. The Account Information page will open.
3. On the left side of the page, click on Billing
4. Click on My Subscription
5. Click on Renew Subscription then follow the onscreen prompts.
Note: This can only be done when an account has already expired without payment.
Renewing and Reactivating an Account Under Suspension
As previously mentioned, the renewal process is automatic. However, there are circumstances that may prevent a renewal from going through - most often this is due to a payment being declined, or if updated payment information is required.
When an account doesn’t renew successfully on the renewal date, it does not close immediately. Rather, the account enters a grace period provided in order to give additional time to update payment information. In this grace period, our system will attempt to charge the credit card on file multiple times over the next month.
After all attempts to automatically renew the account have failed, the account enters into a period of suspension. A suspended account will only allow the account administrator to log in and update payment information; they will be unable to upload new images or create new blog posts.
Most accounts that are suspended due to failed renewals are suspended because the credit card renewal charge was declined by the bank. For this reason, we recommend contacting the credit card issuer to make sure that credit card on file is able to accept the online renewal charge from Zenfolio.
When an account is suspended, the account administrator can manually Renew the account by logging in at Zenfolio.com, clicking on Dashboard Alerts, and then clicking on the Renew button.
