Shipping for pending orders can be modified completely, if necessary. As an Advanced account subscriber, you have the option to make a myriad of changes to a pending order, including changing the price, the shipping destination, or even upgrading the order with Boutique Packaging.
Here are a few things that you may choose to do when modifying shipping options and charges…
1. Ship to You First
You may see it as a nice personal touch to hand-deliver ordered products, or simply find it satisfactory to lay eyes on the products before your customers do in order to ensure quality. You can do this by selecting the option to send To me first within the pending order. Keep in mind that if this option is chosen, you are responsible for ensuring proper delivery to your customer.
2. Address Change
You can adjust both your address and your customer’s within the Pending Orders page.
3. Changing Shipping Method
Shipping methods can be modified before an order is approved. This can be necessary if your customer requires a different shipping method, or if a fixed shipping cost was given to them in checkout.
4. Changing Order Shipping Charge
The charge for shipping listed in the client receipt can be modified by selecting Edit and altering the Markup or Shipping Price in the pop-up window. This is best used when you want to give the client free shipping or a flat rate that was not accounted for, rather than a specific discount.
Adding Boutique Packaging
Boutique packaging may be added by Advanced account subscribers who wish to dress up the packaging for an eligible pending order.
Prints that are shipped with Boutique Packaging are placed in a classy cream box packaged with French vanilla tissue for extra protection. They are finished with a rich chocolate brown grosgrain bow. The interior of the box has a reinforced white finish. The actual order box size can vary as necessary in order to best protect the prints.
For the order to be eligible for Boutique Packaging, it must contain only print products below 11"X14" in size, without frames. The products must be fulfilled by Mpix, MpixPro powered by Miller's Lab, or Millers.
Boutique Packaging is only available with the Standard and Expedited shipping (Mon - Fri) methods. If your client selected either of these shipping methods, then the Boutique Packaging option will be automatically displayed and made available for you to add to the pending order (as long as the products in the cart are eligible for this packaging).
If your client selected the Standard shipping method, you can select either Standard Shipping or Expedited shipping (Mon - Fri) in order to display and select the Boutique Packaging option.
When adding Boutique Packaging to a pending order, the cost for the packaging (and the cost to upgrade the shipping) is paid for by you, the photographer, and deducted from any profit made on the order.
Please note that adding Boutique Packaging to a pending order does not affect the shipping charge displayed to the client.
