Uploading to a Gallery (Photos, Video and RAW) via web browser
Before we dive into step-by-step instructions, here are some helpful tips to get you started...
Photos may be uploaded to a Gallery (used for displaying photos) through a web browser. Before uploading photos, you may want to view our photo guidelines.
2GB of RAW image file storage is provided for free with each account. Any amount stored over the 2GB will incur an additional cost.
Video may be uploaded to the same Galleries as your photos. Note that video clips must meet specified video guidelines and need to be compressed and converted for online viewing. Only converted video files are stored in your account. We recommend that you save a local copy of your original video file. Note that your video clips will not be available for viewing until the conversion process has been completed.
Have tons of files to upload? No problem! Uploading via web browser is a process optimized for uploading many files at once.

- Now, you will be able to choose which containing Group will hold your New Gallery. If no other Groups been created, the gallery will be placed in the top-level All Photographs group. All done? Click Next.

Note that you can always change your selections by going into the Access Control settings of your New Gallery. Click Next.
- On the next page (for Pro and Advanced plans), choose a watermark mark, if any, that you want to add to the photos that will be uploaded to this Gallery. Click Continue to Upload.
Uploading Photographs
After clicking Continue to Upload…
Open the folder in your computer that contains the images. While holding down the left mouse button, drag the files over the uploader browser window. When you see an orange highlight around the uploader box, release the mouse button and the files will drop inside the uploader.
Click Upload to begin uploading.
Depending on your internet connection speed, number of images being uploaded, and the file size of each image, the upload may take a little while. Please be patient, and feel free to keep an eye on the Estimated Upload Time, which will countdown as the images are uploaded.
Click Done to close the Upload window once the uploads have completed.

Uploading to a Group (Directories of Photos, Video, and RAW files)
Note: uploading folders of photos and videos into a group is a feature only available using Google Chrome.
Before we dive into step-by-step instructions, here are some helpful tips to get you started...
A directory (essentially, a folder on your hard drive) containing only photos and videos will become a Gallery once it has been uploaded. A directory which also contains subdirectories (sub-folders) will become a Group instead of a Gallery, wherein the subdirectories will become Galleries within that Group.
Here are your step-by-step instructions on how to Upload to a Group (Directories of Photos, Videos, and RAW files):
- In the Photos page of your account, Select the Group in the Organizer where you want to upload your directory of photos and videos. This group may be the All Photographs group, or any group within.
- Click Upload (located under the gallery title in the top menu). The uploading tool will load automatically.
- Click Add Folders, or you can drag and drop directly into the upload window by using your computer’s File Manager within the upload tool. Simply navigate to the desired files, and highlight the files that are to be uploaded.
- Select a folder, from your file manager, to add to the upload. If you're dragging and dropping, while holding down the left mouse button, drag the files into the uploader window. When you see an orange highlight around the uploader box, release the mouse button and the files will drop inside the uploader as a Group or Gallery, depending on the organization structure of the added files. Repeat the steps to add more directories.
- Click Start Upload to begin uploading.
Note: In the process of uploading, EXIF and IPTC data is transferred along with the photos. Video will still need to process before it can be viewed.
